- For UB SI (Male & Female) & SF 10 ABSI (Male): Degree (Graduation) in any stream.
- For Unarmed Branch Constable/ Fireman/ Driver FM (Male)/ MPRO Operator & Signal Operator (SF 10): 10+2 Passed
- Armed Branch Constable/ Battalion Constable, Driver Constables (Male): 9th Class Passed
- For Commando/ Constable Operator (Male & Female): 10th Class Passed
- For Follower (Male) (AB/UB Group & SF 10 Group): 5th Class Passed

RESERVATION
- Reservation policy of the Meghalaya state is 40% for Garo Candidates, 40% for Khasi Jaintia Candidates, 5% for Other Tribes of Meghalaya & Schedule Caste and 15% Open Category for all candidates irrespective of Tribe/ Castes.
- 10% of existing vacancies shall be reserved for women candidates vide Meghalaya Police (Amendment) Act, 2018, except for the posts which are specifically indicated only for Male.
